im looking for a replacement dipstick for my crate engine. its an 87 up block, 1 peice rms. everything im finding is for 79 and older. will ones from the 80-86 work?

hm, only seems to go up to 88 for the ones i would buy. i dont see spending $50 for a dipstick just because its from lokar. thanks though

 

i got one from o-riellys a crome one, i believe it was up to 87, it fit awesome on my 91 block, i just added a couple o-rings so i didnt have to bend up the tab

 

i wound up finding the one the engine manufacturer recommended and ordered it through a local speed shop

 

ok im back finally i did the vaccume leak check it doesnt have one i replaced the trottle idel scencor tryed to clean egr and cleaned throttle body ok here is what it is doing now lol its not bogging down but its running really rich and and alto of smoke out of tail pipe so i asked my car friend and he said may be stuck injector or egr valve bad vaccum canister or some sort of canister thing or a bad or leaking injector where do i start please i need my next step lol im not made out of money but my car thinks i am
