My car will not idle. the only way to move it and start it is if i give it gas, if i stop it dies. I thought it was a coolent sendor problem because the elctic fans would kick on high as soon as i turned the key to on. I replaced that but no improvement where should i go from here?

What exactly do you mean by " Give it Gas " ?? Pushing on throttle pedal or pouring gas into intake?? Also if the air conditioning is ON the fans will run as soon as the key is on. The car still has the TPI ?? Or is it carbed??

What did you do to it or did it just happen out of the blue one day?? Make sure none of your vaccum lines are off or rotten. Check brake booster line

 

does it smoke or smell of raw fuel? check the throttle body and air filters for obstruction and that theyre clean. has the car sat for a while?

 

it did just come out of storage, doesnt really smoke or smell of raw fuel, just had it serviced, and tryed looking for a vac leak but havent looked real hard might need to look harder ill try those sugesttions

even with a vac leak it will still idle, usually high. but doesnt hurt the check over the vac lines. just had it serviced, what do you mean by that?

 

by serviced i mean changed oil airfilters greased it and looked it over
