Default Cams?

Going to be building up a new 305. So far i am doing edelbrock intake, holley throttle body, my question is what brand, and which cam has anyone used in a 305 fuel injected motor meant for daily driving. I want to get up and go, but i plan on driving this everyday so i don't want a full out monster cam.

You can try an edelbrock performer rpm cam 488- 510 lift and not sure but i think its 234/244 duration might be a lil strong for everyday but it'll work fine.

This is the cam i'm running in my 305 it's designed for a carbed engine but it will work with injection if you have the computer upgraded. unless your gonna build the heads this is about as sick as you can go ... Sick

Pro 3000 Series high performance flat tappet hydraulic cam from Speed Pro.

It fits small block Chevy 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, 383, and 400 V8 engines except 1987 and newer engines with OEM roller cams. These motors are most commonly found in the Chevrolet Camaro Z28, Caprice, Chevelle, Chevy II, El Camino, Impala, Malibu, Monte Carlo, and Nova passenger cars, and also, Blazer, Suburban, and Chevy GMC GM General Motors light duty pickup trucks and vans.

It is designed for the street performance enthusiast looking to add a significant power increase with good mid-range torque and drivability in their street rod or muscle car. It has computer generated cam profile that significantly increases horse power, while still retaining a fair idle quality with only 3-6 lbs. of vacuum loss.

The Pro 3000 Series of cams from Speed Pro work best with the following components:

Axle Ratio: 3.20 to 4.20
Carburetion: 4 bbl
Compression: 9.0-1 to 10.3-1
Computer: Computer will require aftermarket chip
Exhaust: Headers with dual exhaust
Intake Manifold: Works best with aftermarket dual plane high rise intake
Transmission: Stock automatic (stall converter optional) or manual transmission
Valve Springs: Performance springs required such as the Z28 style I have in my other auctions
Search my other auctions for more high performance camshafts.
