It's a really well maintained, almost untouched 'survivor'. 75k, 305 HO 5 speed, black, tan cheapie cloth. No winters, a few little dents, blah, blah, blah.
So anyways, he pulls away, and the trans whines in 1st and 2nd. What's bad in the tranny?

BTW, I'm not a Camaro owner, but a TRUCK fan. Older straight axle Subs and PU's. Diesel now, veggie oil soon...

 

Sounds like good old gear whine, and I wouldn't be too concerned. Just make sure there is enough of the right lube in the box.

 

Nope, sorry... This guy needs his head, oops, I mean bearings, examined. Way too loud for "usual gear noise".
