Broke some caliper bolts...?
I have an 83 z28 camaro with a carburated 305 in it. I traded my 95 explorer with the tranny almost out for it, but the camaro didnt have a sticker. It needed a catalytic converter, brakes, sway bar bushing, and tires. Got almost all of that fixed, but when I was taking the caliper off the passenger side to changes the breaks... both of the bolt heads broke off. So I grinded the bolts in a couple places to get the caliper off but im left with the section of bolt in the two holes.. I have no idea how the hell im going to get them out... Any suggestions? Heres some picture links to show you what im working with..

Maybe something like this?

A guy at auto zone used a set of these to get a stripped bolt off my rear caliper ebrake bracket. Worked like a champ. I am thinking of getting myself a set next time I'm out.

They will make their own place to grab. When the guy pulled the bolt off I looked at it and there was bite marks on the outside of the bolt. How I guess it works is you put it around the bolt and turn it in the direction to get the bolt off and those things bite into the metal and grab on then you put a wrench or whatever on the other end and that piece becomes the bolt head.
Make sense? Unless there is no room to put those on is what you're saying. I can't tell from the pictures how much room you have to work with.

Uh, use some vice grips and turn them out? I don't see what the big deal is. One of them looks like it's a little too short to grab, I'd try a sharp chisel and hammer to work it out. They will come out either direction.

Since the heads snapped off, those bolts aren't going to come out easy no matter what you can grab them with. Soak them down with penetrating oil (PB Blaster), and heat the crap out of them with a torch first. If you don't have one, go to the hardware store plumbing section and get a blow torch set, it's an invaluable garage tool. Then grab them with a vice grips or spin it out with a cold chisel and hammer as Jr. mentioned. For the record, whenever I get a bolt or nut that I can tell isn't going to want to budge easily, out comes the torch so that it doesn't break.
