Best tune up?
you are going to get opinions that are all over the map. If you spend $100 for spark plug wires does that mean they are better than the $35 set from Summit? Is MSD the only dist cap to get? If so, how did the 3rd gens make it for so long out of the factory without MSD components?
what's the best................well, anything is better if your plugs/cap/rotor/wires need replacement. Go to the local parts store and just get what's on sale.

i run ngk plugs in all of my vehicles. i have had the most luck with them. dont bother with the bosch platinum +2 and +4 plugs. they do nothing special and cost a lot. get a decent set of wires and a new cap and rotor and call it done
Yeah the guy that had it before me did a simple tune up on it before I bought it but I have already put enough miles on it. I'm thinking of getting some AC rapidfires, Msd spark plug wires, K&n filter, and a fuel filter. Then after that an oil change with royal purple.
Thats some good quality parts, but I would agree with the above posters. Regular old autolites, or NGK (great quality), normal cap, rotor, wires and name brand oil is fine. You will spend enough on those parts for three tune ups or four tanks of gas.....at least. If it were a performance motor or a fresh rebuild, then sure, but a stocker....no difference over normal brands.
dont waste your time with royal purple. its not a race car. also, the molecular structure of synthetic oil is smaller. the little oil leaks you have now will increase to larger leaks when running synthetic. if you want a good oil, run mobile super 5000 10w-40. its about $14 for a 5 quart jug and will clean out any sludge in the motor. i wouldnt bother with the k&n filter either. expensive and allows more dirt to pass than a paper filter
