Default Basic difference RS, Z28, IROC?

are all RSs v6s and Zs v8s? are all IROX 5.7s?

no all rs' are not v6 i have one and mine has a v8 305 in it and not sure if all irocs are 350s i think so but deffiantly not for sure on this

its simply an option package with suspension and rear end gearing mostly. My 85 Z was the same car as my 89 RS, both 305s. It just depends on the options for certain years what engine you could get. Secondly, anyone telling you they have a 350 Iroc 5 Speed from the factory is full of it for future reference. They never put those options together.

what NJ said it true. However i do have a 350 5 speed RS. The engine is after market and recently added, but its a SWEET combo if you can find one.

That would be the only way to have such a combination, to do a motor swap.

yea thats what i was saying, but maybe if he can find somebody who had already done it for him.

87 was the first year the IROC was available with a 5.7 (350) all others previous were 5.0 (305)
