Default Anybody familiar with a rubber hose for brake fluid?

Ive got a side project and I have to run the brake master cylinder separate from the reservoir. The original had two cloth covered hoses running from the cylinder to the reservoir. Is there some kind of bulk hose out there that will resist brake fluid?

WOW. With shipping thats almost 10 bucks a foot. Is EPDM available at local stores under a different name? (The shops here dont even know the difference between pressure and return line, nontheless EPDM tubing.....)

You could search and find out what model cars have a remote reservoir, then check out a replacement hose for one of those, if it's the right diameter. Another place to check would be a motorcycle shop, as many bikes have remote reservoirs.

Bingo on the bike line, however most of them are like 1/4" I.D. as most front or rear reservoirs hold only a few ounces and use a manual plunger via a lever, but there maybe some with larger I.D.s

You didn't want to pay $10 for a foot off ebay. Buy 5 feet and that will cut the per foot cost in half!

Seeing how Im only going to need about 2 feet MAX, Im going to see if I can find it locally. As I was pondering this, I suddenly realized that brake hoses are made of........rubber........this product shouldn't be too hard to find.

Any EDPM hose spec'ed for use with brake fluid will work fine. Any hydraulic shop that is an Aeroquip distributor can get it for you, although they may have to order it.

I used to work for exactly such a shop. I KNOW what they charge a guy off the street. Id be better off buying from Ebay! This new car is shaping up to be a fun build......
