Default another build up(cop car)

well guys im back unsatisfied with my performance of my 305 tbi that i juss finished this winter its not doing the job =p
well im looking at this 94 or 96 caprice cop car that has a 160k miles on it and im thinking about rebuilding the motor and installing my cam that has 493intake 497 exhust at 112 lobe seperation and i want ur guys oppions
it will also be carbed instead of fuel injected. im looking to make it run a high 12 just a street car and sense it has so many miles im probaly going to have to bore it and line hone im going to install all new bearings prolly run with a flat top piston and do larger valve springs i also will run with a 2800 stall and 3.73 rear gears do you think i will push my goal?
i also have a set of 305 h.o heads with the 58cc and that would be without flat top pistons but they are a lil on the small runing side i think i should stay with the 350 heads

so any suggestions would be great
thanks in advance guys

ya stick with the 350 heads. I was told the 305 h.o. have higher compression but wont let your 350 breathe like it needs too. I had the same question as I'm doing the same thing
