I have been presented with the opportunity to get a 89 camaro rs w/ a 305 crate motor and built 700r4 for $1200. BUT the fuel pump is bad. Is this an easy fix? should I buy it? thanks.

 

pumps arent easy, but they arent hard. if you want to work at it a bit, buy it.

 

As said, it's not hard, but it is time consuming. And with this model, you will need to drop the tank to do it the right way. Don't let anyone convince you to do it the "trap door" way (I already tried), unless you have the facilities to double flare steel fuel lines to connect them back together. I have pics of when I did mine if you want to see what you're in for.
But yeah, if the car is in good shape, buy it.
