Default about to begin my street rod build.

well im parking the maro yanking the front clip, bumpers, ground effects, seats and center console, motor and trans.

i have a rusted drivers floor board to fix sofar. i need the floor pan and not sure where to get one for a decent price.

i also want to know what i have to do to get rid of the ac portion of my blower motor housing i want to just be able to run defrost when it rains.

also need the wonder bar and some pics and measurements of some sfc

also need to find a roll cage maybe 6 point

aaand last but not least need a good deal on a 350 crank new

i need some advice on what clutches and shift kit to buy and so on as i will be rebuilding my trans myself.


parts i have so far:

eaton limited slip posi loc diff
350 vortec heads port and polished
hooker comp headers port matched
350 block
msd hei dist
holley street dominator intake (dual plane)
high flo water and oil pump
oil cooler adapter plate lines and cooler
comp cam lifters
proform pushrods
comp cam lifter springs
unknown roller rockers with 1.5 lift ratio over stock
comp cam #12-256-4
INT EXH
ADV DUR:
256 268
DUR @ .050: 212 218 LOBE SP: 112
VALVE LIFT: 449 456

Parts i need:
pistons and rings unknown what size yet
connecting rods forged factory should be good enough (plan on lightening and balancing)
350 crank (unsure if i should get internal or external balanced
all bearings
not sure if i should get DIFFERENT cam or not

i would consider the diffrence between high volume and pressure oil pumps have you decided on a cam size? the hyperutetic pistons are good and affordable i have them from advance auto i wouldnt spray them but they hold up under my foot..........ok saw the cam specs tell us what your wanting and how you drive? ive made many mistakes getting the wrong cam that cam you picked out has goobs of torque i run the xe274 its nice a mild lopey idle

I think year one should have floors for a good price, if I'm not mistaken.

Make DAMN sure you have enough spring clearance with those oversized rockers and those vortec heads. You are cutting it fairly close with that cam. Were your heads, specifically your valve guides, machined down for the additional clearance?

Why a roll cage? Unless yer doing it for looks.....I mean thats going to be a strong motor (its almost exactly what Im running) but a roll cage isnt necessary from a safety point.

Default getting back to work on the FRANKENMARO!

sorry long busy winter at college...
383 build is on hold.

working on the 305 now tweaking a bit to make it fun again.

after motor done i will begin on floor repair then subframe connectors from scratch.
then install 305 and 700r4 with new tci super streetfighter kit
6 planet gearsets and beast sun shell.
no check ***** separator plate ovaled out at every check ball port for slowing shift now has .5 in boost valve corvette servo...etc...
ive got pics of everything just need time to post it all

lol wow havent been here in a minute but yeah things are slow money is tight i got a ton o pics from start to finish. well will have pics to finish when its finished in the next week or two. ive got to move so the car needs to drive asap motor and trans is done now just need a few dry days so the ground will dry up and my cherry picker wont sink into the ground
