Where to begin?
Just got my old man's '68 transported from back east. After 45 years it finally has a garage. It's a 327/210 bone stock except for the stereo and an engine rebuild back around 1995(new rings and cam that I remember). It's in rough shape body wise but i've seen worse. Starts, stops(eventually) and all lights work.
My plan is to eventually upgrade it with the factory options that would put it in the realm of a L30/M20.
For now I'm all about triage. I want to slow the decay and get it as safe to drive as I can.
Any specific do's or do not's I should keep in mind?
Some of the bushings in the steering/suspension are toast and it creaks a bit. Was thinking about replacing them and maybe putting on some front disc brakes to start with.

if cancer has set in you will want to do a major tear down. O did on her 1st gen. look here https://camaroforums.com/forum/67-69...project-18688/
It definately has some rust issues. I would love to do a full tear down, but garage space is at a premium. I figure at this point it's on the ten year plan.
I will likely sub out the body work when that day comes and my wallet is fatter. The rest I think I can manage. At this point I'm still evaluating what needs to be done even though you can't really tell until you've got it apart. Should keep me busy for a while I guess.
