MY 89 CUTS OFF AS SOON AS I COME OFF THE GAS. I CHECKED MY THROTTLE CABLE AND THE LITTLE HOOK BROKE. IF I REPLACE THE CABLE WOULD THAT SOLVE MY PROBLEM. IT WILL RUN STRONG AS LONG AS I'M MASHING THE GAS.

 

Theengine should idle OK even without the throttle cable. If the throttle cable is broken youwould not be able to make the engine speed up. Are you sure it is not the TV cable, or the cruise control cable that is broken? What type of injection or carburetor is sitting on top of the engine?

 

And turn the caps lock off
