The alternator is going bad. Other times you are just using the battery to run the car. And that is not going to last very long.

Think what a is battery function, hold a charge. Maybe the alternator is still chaging the battery but still is going out
I would be looking at it first. But if you have better ideas go at.

It would make sence that it was the alternator..but y would that effect the windows and the inserment panel? I'll deffinatly hook it up to see if its charging.

Anything electrical in the car will be affected.

Your problem is typical of a bad alternator that cannot provide enough power to run the car, especially at night when the lights are on.

Wow! All that stuff you described in your first post and it was just a bad ground for the fuel pump??? I'll have to say I have never seen that before.
As for a V8 yes you will have to change the trans. Those small V6 are a 60 degree motor and a V8 is 90 so the bellhouse is different. As for fit, the cars came with V8s also so it should fit like a glove (unless you get it from O.J.) If you have to do smog or inspections, depending on what your state allows, you would have to get yourself a computer and a few other components that go along with a 350. If not there is a publication by Quikie Racing "How to Run 11 Second E.T.'s on a budget". I believ the book was intended for f bodys.

A bad ground to the fuel pump DOSENT RESULT in electrical problems. Let us know how much it cost you to get towed and the cost of new alernator.[sm=feedback.gif]

A motor swap into a v6 car, I would not even think about it.
Cheaper to go out and find a 350 car.
