Default 92 RS Collision Light

I have a 1992 RS low mileage Camaro. I just noticed that the collision light was out so I replaced the bulb. No help. Is there a dedicated fuse for this light and if not, how do I go abou troubleshooting the problem? Thanks!!!

Center brake light in it's own housing inside on the rear glass. If that is not what they are called, my bad...

They call it a third brake light, and avoiding rear end collisions is it's purpose. But cellphones, battery powered razors, and nail polish have pretty much made taillights invisible to the average moron behind you anyway.
Have you checked for power in the socket, with a meter? If it's dead, you may have a pinched/broken wire and would need to go on a fishing expedition.

That's what I was afraid of...

Have not checked with a meter (I assume a standard volt meter) and will have to get some instruction on where to set the meter and place the leads. Car electronics is not my forte', keeping them clean and driving them is. Thanks for your response.

check where the wiring goes into the hatch at the top near the hinge. that seems to be a common area for the wires to corrode or break because of the constant movement
