bro!... once you got all the preliminary checks out of the way like oil level, condition of oil, and wiring ok, check to see when the last time you had transmission filter and fluid replaced. there are several fluids and friction modifiers that can help condition new trans fluid to make your tranny perform its best. a sliping transmission is a horrible thing and gives you the feeling that your car is crap! i know this from experience!... the worst case scenario is that you have a worn out clutch pack which may require a rebuild or swap out. ;-)

Do this and it will prove it is not a transmission/rear problem and we will know what we are working with.

1-2 Shift 18 MPH
2-3 Shift 35 MPH
3-OD Shift 60 MPH
After the car shifts into overdrive let off the throttle and just maintain speed. You may feel one more grab, it is normally hard to feel but you should be able to see it on the tach, maybe a 3-400 RPM drop. That is your torque converter clutch engaging. It will only engage at light throttle and it will disengage under any real load even a hill.

Report back your findings.

1991, take a look at this thread that I once posted and see if anything looks familiar to yours, or if maybe you see something missing on your setup.

Yes I did get them, but they don't show much with the air cleaner on.
For each picture, copy the "img" link in Photobucket and paste it in your reply here.

Hey 91chevycamaro
Do everyone a favor and go get a new tach so you know how high you are revving that motor, buy a cheap Sun tach or Mallory.
For everyone else who thinks the Stock TBI is too small for the 350,STOP THINKING. Like I said before on this forum I took the locked-up 305 out of my 92RS and dropped in a 350 for a 92 Z28 that I bought from Kragen auto. The car RUNS FINE, chirps the tire shifting into 2nd even in drive position. Did this swap 5yrs ago, have gone 120 in it so I THINK the TBI is doing just fine cause I don't think it knows that it is not on top of a 305. It just know that when the throttle is opened more air is going in and so the injectors spray more gas. Remember that trucks came with TBI also
