91 Camaro RS
Greetings guys...
I have always liked the Camaro... had 3 in my lifetime... '88 x2 and an '89... love those cars... I just ran across a 1991 RS, 305, 83K miles on it... runs great, sounds good, drives nice... interior is decent - window motors need replaced... exterior has some cosmetic issues- few rust spots that need attention, splash of paint would not be out of the question... front ground effect is cracked. Guy was asking $3000, or he's interested in trading me even up for my 94 Silverado, single cab, 192K miles... any else think this is a good deal for me to follow through on? Thanks

Depends on what you want. Rust (body work) takes a lot of time, and money. A splash o' paint will look ghetto. Ground effect cracked (sides) if its fiberglass can be repaired but if its the front, it'll need to be replaced. If you want a daily driver that you plan on putting time and energy into, it may not a great deal. If you get it as a second car for the weekend, it might be worth it if he comes down a little.
Yeah that didn't sound right... I am planning on getting the rust taken care of and repainted, professionally... I was looking at it like this- the motor is strong, low miles and well maintained... if I sink a few hundred bucks to get it looking good, it's a win-win for me, right?
IMO keep looking, there are allot of 3rd gens that are in great shape for half that price and less around me but yet again i never seen it so i guess it would be up to you. But i would keep looking for $3000 and get one that doesn't need a body/paint job. Is that a TBI 305?
