I just purchased an 89 Iroc-Z. The hatch pull down had stopped working on the previous owner and they appear to have removed it in an attempt to fix it themselves. In its current state their are pieces missing and im going to have to purchase a new assembly.

That being said, this is my first camaro and i'm not entirely sure what things are supposed to look like back there. From what i can see, it looks like at some point someone may have added some anchor parts to the back side of the trunk, and crudely so.

I've taken some pictures and what i would like help with is identifying whether any of these parts have actually been added or modified. And for that matter, aside from the hatch pull-down, is anything missing?

 

Upon closer inspection, it looks as though all of the crude work is actually brazing. Theres no way this is factory, right?
