Default '89 RS w/2.8 cold idle problem

Car starts but doesn't want to keep running, you have to feather the gas pedal. Until it warms up, it doesn't want to take gas. I have an EGR code, but I have checked the diaphram and removed it and cleaned it. I have a feeling that it is something else, but still throwing an EGR code. Once the car warms up, it's fine. I also remopved and cleaned the idle mixture motor.

Does the EGR open on first cold idle? I noticed that it is not open, and if I pull the diaphram up it idles worse. I took the EGR out and cleaned it real good too.

brain fart sry.... it could be your EGR stuck open or could be Vac lines. when you do get it to idel does it idel rough or is it smooth? if it is rough then you probly have a vac line leak. you could also have a combination.
