Default 88 exhaust.

What do you guys use? I'm having some trouble finding some good exhaust that will fit well. What headers also? I'm debating between the shorty and longtube. I want it loud, but not so loud you get sick of it. Dual btw.

There are alot of good quality mufflers on the market. Find a car that You like the sound of and ask the Owner what He's running for mufflers. Headers are another story. It depends on what You want to spend. I lean toward the old reliable names like Hooker, Heddman and such. You have to ask around Your local area and see Who the hot rodders use for Their exhaust work.

i bought a set of Hooker Super Comp Shorty headers for my 89 RS. It came with the y-pipe and all for about $475. I went to a local garage and had 3" pipes put on and a flowmaster 40 series muffler at the end with two tails. All and all cost around $800. Nothing to shake your head at...

I went to a muffler shop yesterday and had some guys look at it. They said they're not gonna be able to do dual because of ground clearance, but they can do the headers and new single pipe branching in the back.

Have them look into putting the duals next to each other and seperating after the differential.

I tried that but they said they didn't want to get close to the brake lines. I think if I went with smaller pipes that you could fit two down the middle and still have room for some brackets. What size would be small but effective?
