i have an 86 camaro 2.8 v6 3 days ago i went to take off from my house the car just died determined that it was getting no fuel from the pump,(can't hear it kick on)took pump out hooked it to 6 volt battery pack it came on,so it seems as if the pump is not getting power, fuse is good ignition switch is good the only thing i have not checked is the relay and since this is my first camaro not really sure where it is located, have found three relays drivers side on firewall on a bracket two in front one one the back of the bracket.is one of these the fuel relay, and are there any other items i need to be checking?

Please dont do that. I mean, its an idea that will work but you willonly be covering the problem and a small problem will become a large problem if not adressed.
If you jump it be mindfull that this is only a simple fix to get you by till you find out the problem.
How did you determine that the problem was with the fuel pump? Do you have a service manual?

i have a service manual,i determined it was the fuel pump by pushing the relief valve in the fuel line no gas,i then ran a wire from the battery to the pump pump kicked on,turned key after that pump kicked on the car ran for 2 minutes pump kicked off used test light had a friend turn the key no power to the pump, checked fuel relay thats fine just replaced oil sending unit so don't think that is the problem.don't think computer is the problem cause when it runs it is fine other than a mass air flow code but had that when i first got it.don't mind spending a little money to get problem solved as i paid nothing for the car, just not sure where to go from it reaqlly makes no sense.

The fuse for the fuel pump is by the batter clipped in to something, everything that could possibly check on my car is good besides the fuel pump, tried exactly what you did yet my fuel pump motor never kicked over w the key switch on and everything. Ordered the new parts should be here Tuesday to get her to start for the first time since 2011, I have an 86 camaro 2.8ltr 5speed with 20k miles on it.. cars in immaculate condition
