Hi everyone. Well from my previous posts i had a 84 z28 and blew the motor. Time for a 2nd start with a new deal. I found a 1984 berlinetta for really cheap that runs good and the interior is in suprisingly awesome condition. the only thing is the speedometer is broken. I know its the futuristic digital kind and was wondering what kind of trouble it would be to fix this. Also whats the difference between a berlinetta and a z28 besides the digital gauges? The car is only 700 dollers and i think its a good deal. Let me know what you think.... thank you

 

Speedometer may not be the only thing for $700. There was someone on the forum a while back who had Digital dash display issues but I did not follow up on the end result. For that price you can't beat it. You may be able to swap body pieces if the Berlinetta does not have spoilers and ground effects. Take a good test drive and make sure it is worth it, you really don't want 2 broken down Camaros.

 

I have an 84 berlinetta. The guy that had it before me said that the speedometer had broken and he bought one off of ebay for 90 dollars and it fixed it. He fixed it about 7 years ago, it sat in a field for about 4 years before I got it (which was about 2 years after he fixed it) an I've been working on it and driving it for the last year with no further issues

 

yeahh digital dash from what ive herd there junk i have an 84 berlinetta also but my dash works perfect im going to do an auto meter swap soon i paid 400 for my car tho lol it runs drives but the 305's a slug
