Default 82-84 Z/28 with 4spd few questions

alrite well a buddy got a job offer and is moving and needed to get rid of stuff.. so i bought his project car.

its an 82-84 cant rember the year... but its a Z/28 with a 4 speed trans, posi rear end,no motor, had a Carb 350 in it at one time but sold it.

Trying to decide what to do with this..

T tops had rust.. so he was going to make it a Convertible.. well thats about as far as he got,
Cut top off, smoothed door handles..

So my question is, do i finsih the project? which would envovle gettin steel to put over the Rails, weld doors shut, sand, primer, pant it and put in a motor... interioer is clean in the car, its got that thing on the passenger side not sure waht it is.. believe its a clock and idk wat else..

or do i part this car out to try to make a few bucks, if i can... bascially the only thing i wanted out of this car is the 4spd to put in another project car...

Wat is this tranny worth? and how rare of a car was this?

well its been made one of a kind now... but other than that, no more rare than the rocks on my driveway. If you want something to take up wasted time, keep it, if your strapped for cash, sell it. its all up to you

wat i really wanted to know i guess.. is how rare was the 4spd in these cars... ive looked at alot of Gen 3 camaros and have found it hard to find one with a manual..

and wat would this trans be worth? b/c if its not worth alot, then its going to go into a '29 ford roadster to replace the TH350 in it.. but if its worth more than 400 bucks.. then i will sell it... or actually finish the custom

its not rare to see either in one, just a bit harder to find the 5 speed. most people either dont know how to drive a stick, or choose not to. and you wont find one behing the 350 from the factory. They didnt hold up long enough for GM to be able to put their warrenty on it. But as far as money for the old 4 speed. Depends on wear and tear. Could get ya a good chunk of change if sold to the right buyer.

thanks.. for the input.. i mean i dont think $200 for the whole car minus the motor is too bad of a deal than.. i mean i figured the trans was worth that...
