Make it good tranny by putting a shift kit in for towing applications.

 

A 700R4 application for a truck is pretty good actually. My dad has a 84' Blazer K5 4x4, its got a 700R4. And that damn thing is a pulling beast. Granted its not so good for top speed. It has a 350 w/ 4 barrel rochester quadra-jet and the 700R4, and 4.11 rear end aswell as the transfer case. My dad and I have pulled several people out of ditches and people who get stuck while they go 4 wheeling in future home construction areas. ANYWHO , do what you want. But I was aiming to tell you how good it can hold up. Yes, it is a pulling beast.

 

well, thing is, pullin cars outta the ditch and pullin stumps outta the ground is two different things. ill tell him what urrbody is sayin about it.

We tow our camping trailer all the time too. I think its a 32 foot trailer. Its pretty big. Long hauls too. Does fine.
