Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knows if I can put a posi disc rear end from a 4th generation CAM into my 85z28 with a manual transmission. I know the tranny will go in with minimal conversion but I don't know about the rear assembly. I know that where I'm located it will be easier to find a junked 4th gen then it would be to find a GTA or an IROC. Any input would be great.

 

It is a direct swap into a 3rd gen models. The major problems are they 4" wider (2" per side) and you will not be able to use 3rd gen wheels. Other then that just minor things such as Brake lines.

 

no problems with the tires rubbing against the fenders?
