clay bar
i know,i know, wrong area buddy... but nobody looks in the other areas so i thought i would try this out...
im considering using a clay bar on my paint. Im trying everything i can to bring a little bit of life back in this paint. Aside from getting new paint. Is it worth my time? Im not lookin for a showroom finish, but if its a big enough difference, ill do it.

All right, you know the best thing for your situation is the Meguiar's 3 step system with Claybar. First use the paint cleaner to remove the outter dirt, then use the polish to take off the oxidation and the dead paint. The clay bar will take out all the dirt trapped in the pores of the paint. It will smooth out the paint and make it feel like a clean mirror. Then seal it all with their wax. I actually use their NXT Generation wax instead of the one in the "kit"
you can use this type of wax called new finish. its ment to work as a clear coat on faded paint and sundried paint. i use it alot in the body shop i work in. we use it on new and old paint jobs. it works great.
we have a lot of road construction going on here right now. Seems like every road... but i think i must have run through some asphault before it was totally dry cause i have some small black dots all over the rear quarters. Workin at a carwash already, i know wd40 gets a lot off, but it didnt touch this stuff. Do you think a clay bar would work here? They are hard as a rock and very very hard to get off. Maybe im just stuck with them for now...
Clay bar is worthless. I had a friend that worked as a sales rep for clay magic and he gave me a bunch of "free samples"
I could not get into wasting the time to use them for the nothing they did so I thre them all out.
Use laquer thinner. It is stronger than the prep solvent and will soften the tar. Dont rub because if a lump come loose it will scratch.
