Default 305TO350

alright, igot basically a stock 305 right now, and instead of putting performance in my 305 im thinking of getting a 350 and either get a crate motor or just find one from a junkyard and rebuild it... if anyone has any suggestions or reccomendation would be nice. im a little tight on cash, i realize a crate motor is very expensive, but if im gonna do it... i mine as well do it right, ya know? but anyway... id appreciate any feedback you got, thanks.

Depends. What experiance do you have with building motors? If none.... you might end up building either a crappy one or going way over budget through trial and error of parts and such, in that case I would say get a crate. Ambition has nothing on experiance.

I'd just go with the crate. You can get a 260 hp or 290 hp chevy 350 crate for around 1500-2000. And itll be anywhere from 2000-3500 once everythings in place, oil pan to aircleaner.
