305 to 350 swap help!!!

Default 305 to 350 swap help!!!

i have a 1989 rs with a 305 and i jus blew the tranny... then i bought an 87 camaro with a 350 in it.... wat i was going to do first was just use the tranny and swap it into the other car.... but wat adjustments and new parts would i need to succesfully complete the engine swap???

between the two u should have everything u need. anything that is exclusive to the 89 will need to be transfered to the 87 motor, sensors and posibly the intake.

what about the bracket setup.... should i basically just refer to the 87' 350 setup and transfer that to the 89 so that it will mount correctly?


I also heard that the ecu needs to be transfered??

so long as u take the stuff off the 87 so the sensors that the computer run from are the original from the car u should be able to use the original ecu. yes u will want to use all the mounting brackets from the 87 motor. the block and heads should be basicly the same so look at the motor from the 87 and make sure u are able to plug in all the sensors that the car has. save the ecu and engine wireing harness from the 89 just in case.
