i have a 1992 v-8? camaro. I can get it to run for about 3 seconds and it won't start again for a few hours. what could be wrong?

 

it more than likely has to do with the fuel pump and/ or the fuel filter. to replace the pump you must drop the tank and pull out the whole pump assembly let us know how the project is coming along

 

The filter would be a better bet, only because it's cheaper, faster, and should be changed anyway. If the fuel pump does need to be changed, I know this sucks, but get rid of any gas that's in the tank when you drop it, and clean the whole thing out, but before you do that, make sure there's enough power getting to it. There's a whole thread on the subject in this forum in which I made a detailed description of the process of checking electrical circuits, and it's a bit long to run again.
