Default 1991 Spring Compressor

Hello, I need to replace the springs in my 1991 Camaro RS. I have found a spring compressor http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/W89311/10002/-1 do you think this will work. I had outter spring compressors but they would not work as the spring is surronded by the unibody. There is only a small hole on the a-arm do you think these will fit in? Thanks! I live overseas so shipping is expensive so I don't want to order something I don't have to.

Unless you use the car as a heavy hauler, what makes you think that the SPRINGS on 91 Camaro need to be replaced?????? Another question: Why buy a tool you will never use again????

Before the springs, I would replace the front struts (also check the strut mount for wear) and replace the rear with a good brand.

Oh, I forgot! You want to follow the herd and lower a already low car.

My car was way to low the oil pan used to scrape on the ground. I need to pick it up. I have new struts and springs from NAPA. I don't want to lower it I want a stock ride height. You may be right about changing the springs but I have some new ones from NAPA so why not put them in with my new struts.

Your choice, but itis the nature of the beast (ride height of 3rd gen cars) to scrape the tranny pan on speed bumps & uneven pavement. That is why I advise not having deep oil & tranny pans (especially aluminum ones).

I need this car higher I liv in a country with big speed bumps. Also I can't even get a jack under it now. I want my car fairly stock. I don't want some ricer rat rod type thing.

the springs do sag with age. however, you dont need spring compressors to change them. support the control arm and take the 2 15/16 bolts from the bottom of the strut. slowly lower the lca, and the spring will fall right out. as for the rear, unbolt the lower shock bolt and lower the rear end, and those springs will fall out as well.

as for the tool you you linked to, i dont think it will work.
