Default 1989 v6 camaro

I'm having a issue with my camaro. When I try starting it with the key and nothing happens, doesn't even try to turn over. I can jump start it with a screw driver but nothing happens when I try turning it over with the key. Anybody have any ideas on why this is happening? If you do let me know, would be really appreciated.

-thanks

Could be the START relay in the box in engine compartment.
raise hood, look for box on drvr side, remove cover, swap relay with one of same part number, retest.
Also, could be misadjustment of ignition switch on top of column, or
Neutral Safety Switch on shifter.
