I would ask others as well about the computer. I am not master mechanic like some of the guys on here. I just know that is what happened to my buddies s-10. How I knew was my subaru did the exact same thing as his s-10 and thats what it was. It seems like your lights should light up for sure. Also if it is idling high, I would take some starter flluid and just spray around the intake and anywhere you could have an air leak and see if maybe you have a vacuum leak. Starter fluid will make the car rev higher when it get sucked in by a leak. camaro 69, whammer and crabby know a lot so maybe you could pm them.

I know its been awhile but I just started messing with this car again.
I thought at first it was the ECM... Because I get no indicator lights on when I turn the key. Also the gauges go up while turning the car over. So I pulled the computer and tried turning it over and the gauges still do this.
any one have ideas.
