I have an 85 Z28 With the 305 tuned Port with the 4 speed auto w/OD tranny my uncle has an 86 firebird with the 2.8 V6 and a 5 speed manual and put a different tranny in his car, will that 5 speed out of the v6 firebird bolt to my 305??

 

nope, bell housing is different. you don't want to try and do that anyways. converting an automatic to a standard is quite an undertaking. it's much easier to convert a standard to automatic. sick

 

i wanted to do the same thing, just cause its alot funner to drive, but like he said to much work, and remember the AUTO is faster when racing, get yourself a nice shift kit you'll be happy..
