Question 1983 camaro berlinetta

ive been looking for a 3rd gen camaro to fix up as my first project car and i came across a 83 camaro berlinetta. i was just wondering whats the difference between the berlinetta and other 3rd gen models, is it just a "package" that comes with the car, the only things i see are things like the digital displays and such. were they not a very popular model or what? any info would help thanks guys

the front nose cone for the berlinetta has slots, i think they all came with V6's, special rims and tires, and the dash is different. i think all the power operators (doors windows etc) were standard equipment too. i had a friend who dropped in a V8 and swore that the slots helped keep it cooler on the road, but he also put in an aftermarket radiator and fan so who knows. as far as popularity... no they weren't very popular where i grew up.

I agree it was 84 when the digital dash came out. I’ve owned my 1983 Berlinetta since I was in my 20’s and it has an analog dash also.
