To the OP you may want to get a 4.75 BS on front. Otherwise the tire may rub at the top on the outer fender lip. The way mine is going the guy who sold me the suspension says I'll have to go as far as button head bolts on the inner fender. Just to keep the hex head from cutting the tire.

That's what I did Damon. Just replaced a couple at the top on both fenders, so it was cheap and easy fix.

Is there plenty of clearance for the 4.75" backspace front wheel without interferance with anything.

I have 4.80 on mine but I can't speak for certain until the sheet metal is back on. I am a member of several Camaro forums, wheel and tire fitment comes up a lot. I read and read until I was certain that my wheels were going to fit. 4.75 on an 8" wheel seems to be the magic number.

Well wanted to thank everybody here for their suggestions and posting pics etc... Due to my wife having to have an unexpected emergency operation I had to wait a few days to order up my wheels, did finally pull the trigger on the
REV 100's with the grey centers in 17x8 and 17x9. Thought it was a good deal for $620 all shipped to my door with correct lug nuts, caps, etc...They were only $20 more than the Summit wheels when I took into account that I would have to purchase the lug nuts seperately for the Summit wheels, and they were included in the price of the REV wheels. The wheels also have a much better looking flat lip style. They are supposed to be made by American racing he siad the newer REV 100 wheels actually will come with American Racing centercaps. I will post a few pics when I get them installed next week. Again, Thanks!

These are the 17x8's have 4.5" backspacing

and these are the 17x9's have 5" backspacing

That's strange that the two wheels are a little different in just 1" difference width. Wonder why the 8" has that step that creates shorter spokes, and the 9" has no step in the outter rim?

The 7" & 8" wide wheels have a 2-step lip, and the 9" wide has the 1-step lip. I looked at multiple pics of cars with the same set up and liked it.
