Help!
Okay, so I have an 81 Camaro.
Was a V6, but I threw a 4Bolt Main 350 in it.
Whoever had it before me was In the process of making a z28 Replica. Only thing he got done was the z28 rims. They are an inch or two bigger than the only Factory Rim I have for the car. I think the Original is a 14 and the z28 rims are 16. Can't remember for sure. The problem I am having is the lug nuts are being broke off way too quick and way too easy. Two different times, my front wheel started popping really loud(4-5 pops). Those pops were my lug nuts popping Off the bolts and there goes my whole rim and tire. Lucky I was only doing about 15 MPH both times this happened. But I really need to find a cheap fix for this. Either get 3 more original rims which is hard for me to find(without costing an arm & leg), or maybe extend lug bolts? Could I get a wheel adapter to fix that problem? Or maybe a wheel spacer? I have no clue. Would appreciate some advice, and ideas on a affordable solution for this problem. I would also like to know what the best thing to do to fix this problem despite expenses, for the future when I can afford it. Thanks!
