what are the engines from the 1st and 2nd gens called?

Default what are the engines from the 1st and 2nd gens called?

Are they ls1 or what?

i think just small block chevys or SBC's, unless ya got a big block then its BBC big block chevy.

Or if you have an early 360hp 350 (70-72 ) it's an LT1.
Most of the different engines had a number code like that,for instance the L48 Corvette engine was another performance 350.

The OP asked this same thing in another thread too. I had already put in my $.02 there, referring to the sbc since that's what I figured he was asking about. Guess that leaves me left with only $.98?

There's tons of designations for the Small Block Chev and Big Block Chev engines for 1st and 2nd Gen Camaros, depending on what engine size, and HP rating it was. With so many engine variations in both size and HP, it's very hard to list them all.
