From what I've heard you might rethink a T5 conversion, unless you've got a wimpy 350 with no plans to make it any hotter. The T5 is a pretty weak tranny for any 350 that's got much power, and the T56 5spd is a far superior trans and better choice.

There's a couple available on ebay, they're not cheap, but they are available, I just looked at them in the last couple of days. However, it's not just a simple swap...I've been researching it as well, I was thinking of doing it to my '77. Your motor must be one out of a late 3rd or 4th gen car with a 1 piece rear main seal. I've also read that there's also an issue with the flexplate. According to what I've found, the flex plate that must be used comes from a 305 (153 tooth?), which would make it smaller than the one on your 350(168 tooth, I think), and the starter that works with it won't bolt up to your block...inline mounts vs. staggered. I got discouraged at that point, as I don't have the $$$ to fund all that. I quit looking to go that route, now I'm looking for a 4 spd.
Good Luck

T5 tranny's had all they could do just to stand up behind a stock 5.0L in a Mustang. One of the first things that went when power was added was the T5. Guys would replace them with Tremec's version of the T5 or even C4 auto tranny's.

I'd stay a way from any T5 personally.
