Its prolly that its not a stock steering wheel and they didnt put it on right how is it loose? like the play on the wheel or back and forth? Just took out my steering wheel in my 80 maybe they didnt put in the horn part which would also make it loose, does the horn work? [align=right]

If your steering wheel can rock back and forth on the steering column, that's one thing. But it sounds more like you have slop in the front suspension. There's also a good chance there's slop in your steering box. Since you feel looseness in the wheel, and the car wanders on you, I would suspect things up front such as your tie rod ends, drag link, etc. are probably shot. Get someone inside the car to rock the wheel left and right, and look under the car and under the hood to see what's moving before the wheels start to turn. Have it looked at before the car decides to take a sudden turn on it's own.

Yeah the problem with the steering is at the play like 1980rscamaro619said, it is at teh time of making a turn, the steering arm doesn't shake is just atthe time of making a turn that it feel lose.
