Ignition Saftey?
Hello All,
I'm not even sure how to put a subject to this aside from what I wrote - but here's the problem: It's been sometime since I went out to mess around with the ol Camaro - try to get him started - but the last problem I was having was that I had to push and hold the gearshift forward before it would engage the ignition. Sometimes "wiggling" from side to side to get it to let the ignition turn. My question boils down to this; it no longer responds to the old push forward and wiggle trick so I need to know where to start looking to alleviate/by-pass this problem. I know it is a "saftey" of some sort but have no idea where to start my investigations at.
It's not a daily driver - more of a tinker-when-time permits car these days. But time permits and I would really like to get it turn over so I can start working on it a little but I can't get past this first hurdle - any help is good help and let me say I appreciate it ahead of time.
