Start gutting the interior....

Remove the rear seats, carpet, and padding. If you can, get it on a rack and look at it very closely and see where the trouble spots might be.

Also, try not to use the skins. If you haven't bought them yet, try to get legit GM panels. The skins are 99% of the time cheap chinese knock offs that suck. Trust me, I only had a little bit of rust on my rear right QP that I thought I would only use the bottom bit of the skin, but my body guy wouldn't even use them as the wheel well roll was thin and sharp. Plus, the lines/shapes didn't really match the original. Real GM panels will go all the way up the factory weld and will include the portion where it connects to the door. In other words, its about 2x the size of a skin. I can't stress enough how much the skins suck.

thank you so much man.. heres the thing. my interior is brand spankin new. the guy i bought the car from is throwing rear qp's and a spoiler in for free. i'm gonna make sure if they're the cheap skins or gm quality. do i really need to destroy the interior to tell if there is going to be trouble getting the quarter panels on?
