...If it is hitting there, then I think you may have your flexplate on inside-out, and it's too close to the block. It sure looks kinda close in the picture.

Damn, you blew that thought! Do you have a closer shot of that area? I see shiny metal that looks bigger around than what the shaft should be. That area isn't clear in the pic, but is the bendix gear sticking out?

I'll get another pic when i go back to the garage, but yeah that is the proper shaft and no the bendix gear is not out.


The teeth are hitting the housing around the shaft. Do you think it would be safe to use that many shims? shims arent even the case, i have to use about 1/2" in washers lol, i just thaught that was way too mickey mouse mcgiver for me lol.
