failed emissions

Default failed emissions

well today i took the beast down for emissions just for ****s and giggles.Well anyway its past everything but idle its putting out to much HC at idle (unbured fuel) i just did plugs and wires and i dont feel a misfire and suggestions on how to get it to pass i only have to do it once

well, if you want to cheat, run alchohol through the system with the gas. You could tune your carburetor to be lean just for the emissions. I don't have to worry about emission in NM so I've never had to bother with any of it...

I read that to mean that your car doesn't HAVE to be tested?

It does have to be emissioned but just once but i didnt have to do it for a while (just got my temp tags) sorry for being a little vaugue.Well i took it again today i ran a bottle of heat and retared the hell out of my timing and the results were shocking yesterday my hc was 350.6 at 2500 and 456.0 at idle the limit was 400, but after messing with timing a bit idle dropped to 102.1 and 2500 was 89.6 i couldnt beleive the difference.
