Default Differential is Leaking

My differential is leaking. I dont really have time to tear the thing apart so im hoping its just a seal or something. Can anyone tell me if there is a problem or if its just a seal. Thanks

if its leaking from the pinion, its usually just the pinion seal, and if its the cover, then its the cover gasket....pinion seal is easy, just remove the drive shaft and pinion yoke. you might just want to drain it entirely from the cover and freshin up everything while your in there...

This of course assuming the bearing isn't bad on the pinion, that could be the cause of the seal being bad in which case you have a much bigger problem.
