so should i get a double roller or a single haha i have just a stock 305 for now till i put some headers on but nothing major right now would a single one be better

ok well the gear and chain will work but im having a problem finding a gasket for it ive only found a big block v8 and a v6 gasket.....will the liquid gasket work for it

also if i changed the cam to a better one do i need new lifters and re tune the carb or can i just put a new camshaft in and leave everything the same

You definitely want to put new lifters in if you replace the cam.Makes sense to replace them anyway since they have to come out to change the cam,plus they are cheap,you can get a cam with the lifters at a good price.

ok but since i am replacing the timming chain and gear i cant find a gasket for my 305 SB V8 can i use a liquid gasket or no

^ I've seen it done and it does work but keep looking it shouldnt be that hard to find, worste case senario just buy a new TC cover and it will come with a gasket. I use both, light layer of liquid over the gasket (keeps it in place good to).

ok so i have found a gasket for it i was looking under timing chain gasket not timing cover gasket....anyways the problem i have with my timing chain and gears now is that the gears are so broken i cant find the center marking on the gears how can i get it to top dead center with broken gears or can i do it with the new chain and gears

not a big deal, easy to set the cam with new gears. cam sprocket will only go in one way. crank sprocket will only go in one way.
