Default Cam?

I simply don't know how to pick a cam. I am fine building an engine, but I cant ever pick the correct cam.

Im running a late model GM crate 350, was told it has 10:1 compression. Air gap intake, holy 750 double, headers, straight 3" exhaust, will have posi 4:11 very soon. Turbo 350, stage 2 shift kit, and some type of BM stall. Tranny came with the car, guy didnt now what stall was in it. However, it is powder coated B&M Blue. Not painted real powder coating.

The car is for the strip, I dont care about gas millage. I like being able to drive around the block, but this car is being built for the track. About to get a full cage, already has frame connectors.

Some day, I want to get a set of victor jr 2.08 heads, but that is about a year a way. For now I am thinking I need a major cam. I have no idea what is in the car, but there isnt any lope. I want something that can handle the 750 carb. I think I am drowning the engine.

I have a new in box Lunati Voodoo 60101. here is a link http://www.summitracing.com/parts/LUN-60101/
Lift at valve - .454 in .468 ex
rocker ratio - 1.50 in 1.50 3x

duration at .050 - 213 in 219 ex
advertised duration - 256 in 262 ex

There are a lot more numbers on this spec sheet, but I dont really know what they mean.

Is it worth putting this cam in? (remember I have this cam)
Is there a better cam for me?

Thanks for the help...

So I am pretty sure I am not going to wast the time putting the 60101 in. I plan on getting the 60104. I dont have the 2800 stall it calls for, but I plan on adding it someday.

Anyone have anything to say as to why I should not run that cam? I meet all there recommendations except the stall.

What happens if I don't have the stall. I know the car will suffer a little in the time, but it should be fine, shouldnt it? Im talking a month or two to get the stall. I dont want to change the cam twice.

Im more worried about if I can put that big of a cam under my heads. Will my valves travel that far? Can a cam be to large for heads?

if its the right cam for ur block it will fit in there fine.... but it make the car nearly unstreetable if the cams a good size.... my buddy did it for 2 weeks, at stop lights he had to hold the brake and gas to like 900rpm while trying to make sure his street tires werent spinning just sitting there, which did happen a couple times

Ok, I will make sure I have emergency money for the stall if i need it.
Car isnt a driver, so it is ok, if it is down for a week while i am waiting for the stall to come in.

Thanks for the info.
