Default Buying a second gen.. Question!?

Looking to buy a second gen. a 1980. It's black with a 350. My question is that the guy sent me a picture of the interior and it has the shifter (it's manual) boot coming out of the carpet. But it looks like the center console has been removed. Is this original? i don't think so and if not can I get a console that will fit? and the only problems is that the gas gauge doesn't work and it doesn't have a radio. Asking 5000 is this a good deal? Thanks

Yes you can get a console that will fit.You can buy new reproductions or you can find used ones on ebay or craigslist. As far as whether $5000 is a good deal,it all depends on what kind of condition it's in,if you have any pics that may help answer that question a bit easier.

seems a bit on the high side for the midwest, better be in really good shape. make sure it ain't got a lot of mud in it. I've seen guys ask that much for them, but they typically end up taking less.
