Default 305 to 350 swap

I just bought a 79 that has a 305 in it and i was wondering how hard it is to swap a 350 into it. Are there any weird problems that i am going to run into? Also is it going to mount right up or am i going to have to change engine mount locations?

The mounts are the same, I changed my 305 to the 350 no problems I cant remember any significant issues. If you use a newer 350 there isnt a provision for a mechanical fuel pump but that is appearant on the block. Its a good swap alot more potential with the 350...

I've swapped 305 for 350's all the time, it's the same mounts and I've never had any problems. The only thing is are you using a mechainal pump again or an electric?

most likely an electronic pump. I go to a mechanic school in north carolina and one of my teachers has a 350 that he says i can have. He said its out of a 90's camaro

Yeah, if the 350 is out of a 90's then your best choice is to go with a electric pump, instead of the mechanical pump you'll just have to run the wiring, and drill the holes through the fire wall, if you want to hide all the wiring.

The 350 should drop right in with no problems.
