Hey everyone I have a 1979 Z28 and the previous owner screwed up a lot of things. I have a 350, it's not stock and I don't exactly know where it came from I would run the casting numbers but I can not see them because some of the hardware is in the way. I was wondering what people felt I should take care of next. I want to change my transmission from the TH400 to a six speed manual (obviously). My rear end is something like a 2.8 or so with no low end and it doesn't even have posi, I would like to change it to 3.73 at least with posi. What do you think should be changed first?

****in gas man. It is my daily driver and I mainly do around town kind of ****, and there is a lot of times where an overdrive would come in handy. It is also my dream to have a stick Camaro. Now if I do the rear first I am going to have zero gas mileage, then again if I do the transmission first my car is goint to be all waked out with the 2.8 rear end.

Thanks for your suggestion, I think I am going to go forward with the new rear end. Eventually I will get at least a four speed.
