Default 1977 camaro Z28

hi just bought a 77 camaro z28 it has a rebuilt 350 out of a 74 camaro and new transmission and new clutch... but the gas and speedometer gauge does not work... i plan on replacing the cable but it would help if i could get a step by step on how to do both thanks....

is the cable broken? if it is broken ull need to unhook it at both ends (one at the trans and one at the back of the speedo) and pull the cable out of the cable housing. most likely one piece from each end. measure it to make sure u get the right one from the parts store.

also check the speedo gear in the tranny, those get brittle and break all the time....its right behind the cable when you take the cable off the trans
